Pathogenicity of Spirilla in the Sputum

Sir,?Will any of your readers kindly throw light on the pathogenicity of spirilla in the sputum and oblige? T have recentlv been getting a series of cases suffering from bronchitis, and sputum examination invariably shows the presence of spirilla (along with other organisms), which are thick, short, and have three to five threads each. I have made myself sure that they are not from gums or oral cavity, and administration of arsenic not only clears the sputum of this spirillum, but the drug has got a marked effect on bronchitis as well.
